We
-- my significant other, Herc, and I -- are spending the winter
in Rio Frio, TX in a campground on the Rio Frio River (the
river is as clear as a bathtub). Rio Frio is in the middle
of TX in what they call the Hill Country of Texas, 90 miles
north of San Antonio. We've been on the road for two years
now in our 30-ft. 2006 Cardinal 5th wheel. We're having a
ball, enjoying all of outdoors and meeting new people wherever
we go. We plan to travel until we can't any more -- we're
both exceptionally healthy so far -- then settle into an apartment
somewhere with moderate climate. You wouldn't believe the
number of fulltime RVers traveling around this country. Anyway,
we live a quiet life and live moment to moment and day to
day. Time's flying by.

"Please excuse my just-washed hair -- we were out for
a walk, I didn't expect the photo op."

We'll
stick in Rio Frio, TX, probably until the first of the year.
It's really nice here, although further from shopping than
I'd like (ha).
We're going to New Branfels, TX tomorrow, about 140 miles
northeast of here, taking the camper for its 1-year warranty
checkup -- we have a list of things to fix. We'll spend a
couple of nights hooked up at the dealership while they, hopefully,
fix everything. Meanwhile, we'll eat out and shop. YES!
The weather's great here so far, 85°F today, 75°F
tomorrow -- 50's at night,
and almost always sunny. The RV park is starting to fill up
with winter visitors. So far we have a couple of great neighbors.
