I
live with my husband, Steve Bischoff, on our horse farm (no surprise
here) in Northern California near Redding. I am now and have been
since I was four years old, heavily involved in the horse business.
I am a trainer (Hunters and Jumpers), Breeder, Instructor and Horse
show official (Judge, Steward and Course Designer). I guess I am
one of the lucky ones in that I am living my dream...the one I developed
as a young child in Barrington. I am still active as a rider, and
compete in Jumper classes at the shows I attend.
My
husband is retired from a career in the Federal Government, and
now is working like a fiend, as an artist and as Farm Manager for
our facility. He is as batty about the horses and other critters
as I am, which is a good thing, since we also have (besides 23 some
odd horses here) five dogs (3 of which are Jack Russell Terriers),
two pot-bellied pigs, 15-20 sheep and a family of resident Peacocks
as well as bunches of chickens. It truly is a zoo out here, and
fortunately, Steve is really "into" the bond he has with
the animals.
The
last time I was in Barrington was about 17 years ago. I can only
imagine how much things have changed. However, I still am close
friends with Judy Vance Earl, and see her quite often. I also see
Bob Robinson occasionally.
I
am sorry I had to miss the Reunion, but I would enjoy hearing from
my old friends in Barrington, so do not hesitate to email me at
gaytalmey@msn.com .
