You're right -- that's not Betsy. Read on.

I have a picture hanging in my home, of our BHS1958 Senior Class trip attendees, of the trip to Washington, D. C. June 1958. There are 65 classmates pictured along with our Superintendent, Mr. Thomas’s niece, Ann Thomas from Oregon, Illinois and friend, Doree Dumont from Mt. Morris, Illinois. I became friends with Ann and kept in touch with her until 1965 when we seemed to have lost touch with each other.

I decided to try to locate Ann after all these years and tried Classmates.com. I went to Oregon Community High School on the website and looked for someone with the last name of Thomas because there was no Ann listed. I found a Nancy Thomas and decided to send her an email in mid-July hoping she could help me find Ann. A month and a half later she answered my email saying she could help me find Ann, because she knew Ann’s younger sister, Linda, and gave me Linda’s email address. I sent an email to Linda and the next day received a very enthusiastic reply. She sent me Ann’s address, phone number, and email address.

A few days later, I sent an email to Ann to see if she would like to get together, because I was going to Appleton, Wisconsin and would swing over to see her on my way back home the last week of August. On August 30th I reunited with Ann for a wonderful visit and met her husband, John, and youngest son. We plan on staying in touch this time. I hope she will be able to attend our 50th Class Reunion in 2008. Her 50th Reunion at Oregon CHS will probably be the same weekend, but is only 2 days long. That allows her to be at our brunch possibly.
